Alchemy project: Translate C/C++ code to ActionScript

Adobe Labs Alchemy project allows one to port their C/C++ code to ActionScript 3.0 to run on the opensource ActionScript Virtual Machine (AVM2). This allows reusing of existing C and C++ libraries in Web applications that run on Adobe Flash Player 10 and Adobe AIR 1.5. Mind you it’s a research project though, no guarantee is made from Adobe on whether there will be a shipping version of Alchemy. They currently provide some example libraries, and encourage developers to share their ported libraries. Have read it also lets you play Ogg Vorbis and Lib Vorbis, obviously having ported those libraries to ActionScript.
